The Reception of the Intruder
In 1999, at the very inception of Jean-François Vézina's psychological practice, an unexpected intruder burst into the consultation room demanding money at the exact split-second the therapist's first clinical fee touched his palm.
That terrifying rupture became the primary keycard of the Hilbert Hotel. Following Rumi's teaching, the clinical room does not lock out the unwanted visitor with paranoid alarms; it treats the intruder as an acausal ambassador. The shock dissolves the rigid mechanical scripts of chronos (linear quantitative seconds) and swings wide the doors to kairos (the opportune vertical ripening of the soul).
